Description
The Pomodoro Fiaschetto is grown in a the Nature Reserve “Torre Guaceto”. The Pomodoro Fiaschetto tomato has a Slow Food Presidium. This means that the organization Slow Food has defined these tomatoes as an authentic local and regional product, a carrier of cultural heritage and biodiversity.
The Pomodoro Fiaschetto tomato is grown at an altitude of only 15 meters and a few hundred meters from the sea. A ideal climate which make that this tomato has a unique taste, color and smell. Tomatoes grow exclusively in the open air, not in greenhouses.
When the Pomodoro Fiaschetto tomato is ripe in July, its immediately harvested and processed into these delicious tomato sauce or into the Pomodoro semi-secco.
This sweet, juicy tomato is processed into the Passata di pomodoro Fiaschetto by “grinding” only , a 100% organic tomato sauce without additives, salt color agents or preservative.
This tomato sauce is produced in Apulia Region, by Azienda Agricola Calemone Torre Guaceto.
